BTEC LEVEL 3 IN SPORT

Bristol Rovers Community Trust's BTEC Level 3 in Sport (Boys' Football) is a two-year Course suitable for post-16 male students of all playing abilities who have a keen interest in developing a clear path into opportunities within the sport industry.

BTEC Level 3 in Sport, Development, Coaching

& Fitness Pathway

Content

  • Opportunity for a qualification, equivalent to three A-Levels

  • 12 hours of education per week

  • 6 hours of football and games

  • 19 units relating to physical education, ranging from Anatomy and Physiology to Sport as a Business

  • Assessed through weekly coursework across the two years

  • Opportunities to take part in national and international trips

Our Programme

The Football & Education Scholarship is a revolutionary course offering many benefits;

  • You have the opportunity to undertake an FA Level 1 Award in Coaching Football

  • You will be professionally trained by Bristol Rovers Community Trust coaches

  • You will be part of Bristol Rovers Football Club - playing and training as a Football Student

  • The course offers work experience and possible employment opportunities in the Sport and Leisure industry

  • Training will take place at the brand new state of the art, £6 million Lockleaze Sports Centre

Whilst studying BTEC Sport

  • Volunteering and work opportunities with Bristol Rovers Community Trust

  • Work-experience as Bristol Rovers Football Club

  • Participation in a National Futsal League

  • Opportunities to gain valuable coaching experience

Prerequisites to Apply

As well as professional training, there are also weekly fixtures against other Football League clubs in the EFL CEFA League

  • A Minimum of 4 Level 4 Grades at GCSE

  • An interest towards playing regular football

Associated Costs

This course is FREE to enrol on to for all students. There is however, a compulsory £300 cost for Bristol Rovers kit and for FA Level 1 in Coaching Football.
