We are seeking to employ a dynamic individual to support the recruitment of high quality students onto our expanding BTEC Level 3 football programme. Our college footballers represent Bristol Rovers in a EFL National football league which caters for all levels of ability. We give young people the opportunity of enhancing and improving their life choices through first class education and high quality football provision.
We are seeking someone who is knowledgeable and passionate about football, education and recruitment. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of our Head of Recruitment to increase student intake for the following academic year. This will involve attending appropriately aged male and female grassroots fixtures over weekends and evenings.
Job Title: Recruitment Officer for Bristol Rovers Community College Football BTEC Programme
Reports to: Head of Recruitment
Job Purpose: To work under the guidance of our Head of Recruitment to increase student intake for the following academic year.
Core Duty: To attend appropriately aged male and female grassroots fixtures over weekends and evenings to identify footballers who have the ability to join Bristol Rovers Community College.
Pay: £30 per game attended and travel expenses paid at 45p per mile

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

To work under the guidance of our Head of Recruitment to increase student intake for the following academic year.

To attend appropriately aged male and female grassroots fixtures over weekends and evenings to identify footballers who have the ability to join Bristol Rovers Community College

To increase awareness of the education courses on offer at Bristol Rovers Community College
-
To build an extensive network of contacts within grassroots football in Bristol and South Gloucestershire

Maintain all appropriate records in line with role requirements
-
Undertake any CPD events necessary as part of staff training (both internal and external)
-
To complete appropriate match reports on games attended
Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
-
FA Enhanced DBS check (or able to complete one)
-
A full clean driving licence held for more than 2 years with access to own transport
Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Knowledge or experience of grassroots football

FA coaching certificates
-
FA talent identification certificates
-
Experience of BTEC education qualifications

Experience of being involved in a sports college

Experience of education / football recruitment

Understanding of safeguarding best practice

High quality communicator in person, telephone, email and other appropriate forms

Adaptable with a flexible positive attitude

Understanding & commitment towards equality, diversity and inclusion
