At Bristol Rovers Community Trust, we were delighted to announce the winners of our Bristol Rovers Community Player of the Season awards for both the men’s and women’s first teams.

The PFA Community Champion Awards honour professional footballers who go above and beyond in supporting local community projects, charities, and club initiatives. This year, we have been incredibly proud of all first team players across both the men’s and women’s squads for their participation and positive impact within our community.

Supported by the Professional Footballers' Association, these awards recognise players for their contributions off the pitch rather than their on-field performance, highlighting their engagement in social causes, youth development, and community outreach.

This year, we were especially proud to present our PFA Community Champion awards to women’s first team player Layah Douglas for her contribution to combating Racism in Sport, and to Taylor Moore for his work with our '5K Your Way' mental health project, funded by the Premier League Foundation Players Pilot Project.

At Bristol Rovers, we recognise that footballers hold a unique position within charity and community work. Their cross-cultural influence, strong connection with fans, and ability to inspire make them powerful advocates for positive change.

The 'Beautiful Game' provides a platform to bring people together and make a meaningful difference in areas such as health, education, and social cohesion.

Nathan Hallett-Young, BRCT Operations Manager added:
I’m delighted that our players have been recognised for their efforts to positively impact the lives of those connected to the football club. Our goal at the Community Trust has always been to use the power of football to improve lives and uplift our local community. Layah and Taylor truly embody this mission, and we really appreciate their commitment.”
