Working under the supervision of the Community Manager and relevant Department Heads, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing high quality delivery of various community sports and PE coaching sessions. This will include coaching on our BTEC education football programme for post 16 year olds, primary and secondary school sport and PE provision, as well as other community programmes.
We are seeking someone who is knowledgeable and passionate about the workings of charities, football and sport. They will need to excel in the areas of sports coaching and be confident to deliver in a variety of different settings with various ages and abilities.

Job Title: Community Sports Coach
Reports to: Community Manager and relevant Heads of Department
Main Responsibilities: Delivery of a mixture of community based sports and PE coaching sessions in schools, on our BTEC football programme and in other community settings
Location: Based at The Memorial Stadium with additional travel to various locations in Bristol and South Gloucestershire
Contract: Full Time starting ASAP
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week. The role requires flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as required
Salary: £20,000 - £23,000 per annum, dependant on qualifications and experience

Core Duties and Responsibilities:
To work under the guidance of our Community Manager and relevant Department Heads to deliver high quality community sports and PE coaching sessions
To coach on our BTEC education football course for post 16 year olds.
To deliver school sport and PE lessons in primary and secondary settings
To delivery on other various community sports sessions and projects
Maintain all appropriate records in line with role requirements
Undertake any CPD events necessary as part of staff training (both internal and external)
Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
FA Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football / Or an alternative UKCC Level 2 in a related sport
FA Licensed Coach
Valid FA First Aid Qualification
Valid FA Safeguarding & Child Welfare Qualifications
Experience of working in a school environment
Experience of coaching a football team
Ability to relate effectively with a range of ages and abilities
Ability to adapt coaching sessions to appropriate age groups
Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child welfare issues, procedures and best practice
FA Enhanced DBS check (or able to complete one)
A full clean driving licence held for more than 2 years with access to own transport
Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
Experience of KS1 and KS2 teaching and learning
Experience of working in a football club or sports college
Sports related / Education degree
UKCC Level 2 coaching qualification or equivalent in sports other than football
Experience mentoring colleagues and teachers in PE delivery
Experience of working with young people with additional needs
FA Level 3 Coaching Qualification
Level 3 AfPE / HLTA qualification
Experience or understanding of delivery of charitable funded programmes
3 years knowledge & experience of sports coaching
Experience of working with a variety of young people, including male and female, as well as different ethnicities
Understanding & commitment towards equality, diversity and inclusion
Act as a role model by displaying the appropriate values and standards of Bristol Rovers Community Trust
