Bristol Rovers Community Trust are delighted to present Alex Symon with the 2022 Community Champion Award at last night's Bristol Rovers Awards.
Alex started volunteering with the Community Trust in April 2021, leading on our over 60's 'Extra Time' Club and becoming an integral and valued member of our team.
In October, Alex was involved in a serious incident that left him with severe injuries. After months of recovery, Alex is now starting to transition back into his volunteer role whilst continuing his recovery.
Community Trust CEO, Adam Tutton, said "I'm absolutely thrilled that Alex has been presented with our 'Community Champion' Award this season. Alex has been a tremendous asset to our team and the 'Extra Time' participants absolutely love working with him. His passion and commitment to Bristol Rovers and our community is second to none and we're so happy to see Alex working his way back into a role that he thoroughly enjoys"
