Bristol Rovers Community Trust generated £10.2 million of social value and impact in 2022/23

Bristol Rovers Community Trust, the multi award-winning official Charity of Bristol Rovers Football Club have announced they have generated £10.2 million of social value during the 22/23 season, following the publication of the English Football League Measuring the Impact of Clubs in the Community Report 2022/24.

Social Value is the estimated monetary value of the charities Social Impact. It covers the economic, social, and environmental outcomes of the charities work.

In order to calculate the figure and social value of the projects and interventions delivered by Bristol Rovers Community Trust, the EFL commissioned Substance, a leading research and technology company who used a range of formative and summative approaches to calculate the monetary value of the impacts of the charities work within the community.

Adam Tutton, CEO of Bristol Rovers Community Trust said, “I am absolutely delighted with these figures that have been published. Within the Charity sector it is often hard to put a monetary value upon the work we do, however, with this report we are now able to actually show the value of the work carried out by our hardworking team and volunteers. Our work within the areas of Social Impact was valued at over £4.6m, Mental Health over £4.5m, Physical Health £770,000 and Education and Employability over £630,000. I would like to thank all our funders, sponsors, and supporters for enabling us to deliver the life changing projects we do.”

Hussain AlSaeed, Chairman of Bristol Rovers Football Club added, “Providing over £10 million in social value during the 22/23 season is truly impressive and highlights the impactful work being done for our community’s well-being. We are proud to support such meaningful initiatives and appreciate the dedication of everyone involved”.
