Bristol Rovers were represented in the very first Premier League Primary Stars National Girls Tournament at Vicarage Road, the home of Watford FC on Wednesday.
The girls from St Michael's C of E Primary School won their local and regional finals as Bristol Rovers and enjoyed a fantastic day, playing against other Schools representing Wolverhampton Wanderers, Southampton, West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United.
Bristol Rovers finished second in Group D after securing two wins and a draw but losing to eventual semi-finalists Newcastle United.
The girls were also presented the Premier League 'Fair Play' award for their superb attitude throughout the tournament.
Primary Stars lead, Nick Carter said: "It's been a thoroughly enjoyable day and the girls should be incredibly proud of themselves. I'm confident that this tournament will inspire them even further to continue playing football and I'm sure that today will live in their memories for a very long time."
