JOB TITLE


Head of College Recruitment & Football Programme

Reports to:

Community Operations Manager & Head of Education

Main Responsibilities:

Lead the Trust’s college student recruitment & football programme delivery, ensuring high-quality coaching, player development, and effective student/participant recruitment.

Location:

Based at The Memorial Stadium with additional travel to schools, colleges, universities, and other partner venues across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

Contract:

Full-time with 30 days annual leave plus all nationally recognised bank holidays.

Starting: ASAP

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week. The role requires flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as required.


Salary:

£24,500-£28,500 + on target earnings, dependent on qualifications and experience.

Job Summary


Working under the Trust’s Community Operations Manager & Head of Education, the successful candidate will be responsible for the recruitment and delivery of the Trust’s education football programme.


This will include the following areas:


1. Recruitment & Retention


  • Lead the recruitment strategy for the education programme.

  • Deliver recruitment presentations, open events, and taster sessions to prospective students and parents.

  • Build and manage strong links with schools, sixth forms, and colleges to sustain participant pipelines.

  • Monitor and evaluate recruitment outcomes against targets.


2. Football Delivery & Development


  • Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of the college football programme.

  • Ensure high-quality coaching provision across education, grassroots, and community sessions.

  • Develop links with schools, grassroots clubs, and partner organisations to expand sporting opportunities.

  • Maintain high safeguarding, welfare, and inclusion standards across all delivery.


3. Staff & Coach Management


  • Mentor delivery staff to improve coaching quality and professional development.


4. Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement


  • Develop strong working relationships with the FA, schools, and grassroots clubs.

  • Represent the Trust at recruitment fairs, football showcases, and community sporting events.


5. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting


  • Track KPIs for recruitment, player participation, and programme impact.

  • Report outcomes to Community Operations Manager & Head of Education.

  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and GDPR policies.
