Everyone at Bristol Rovers Community Trust would like to send their condolences to the family and friends of lifelong Gas Head, Gerrard Moloney.
On behalf of the family, we were honoured to share these words...
“Gerrard Moloney sadly passed away on 8 April 2021. Gerrard was Bristol born and bred until his family moved to London in the late 1970s. He was a life-long supporter and shareholder of Bristol Rovers and attended matches both at home in Bristol and at away games. He has left us with memories of his outgoing personality and his great sense of humour and fun. His love of sport, especially football, took him around the world and Gerrard went to many of the great footballing events including the European Championships and the World Cup in Rio in 2014. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.“
Gerrard's family recently got in touch with us after his sad passing to inform us that they would be asking family and friends for donations, instead of flowers. We were deeply honoured to learn that the family wanted to raise funds for Bristol Rovers Community Trust, and to give something back to the football club and it's community, which was such a massive part of his life.
Everyone at Bristol Rovers and the Community Trust would like thank Gerrard's family and friends for their incredibly kind donations and it truly is a wonderful gesture that will help those within our community. It's been an enormous pleasure to have Gerrard as part of our 'Gas Family'
