Our Tackling Loneliness Project funded by the EFL Trust and the DCMS was featured on ITV West Country last night (Tuesday 15th December)
The feature focused on the delivery of computer tablets by Bristol Rovers first-team players, Alex Rodman and Alfie Kilgour to older supporters who have experienced loneliness and isolation during 2020.
Audrey and Chris Butler were one of the many people that the team visited since the launch of the project. Audrey, who now has Parkinsons and dementia, used to be the club mascot. She donned the Captain Gas outfit for 10 years, entertaining crowds at matches and raising money through sponsored races.
