Taylor Moore of Bristol Rovers named Player In The Community

Taylor Moore of Bristol Rovers has been named as Player in the Community at tonight’s 2025 EFL Awards ceremony in London.

The award recognises the player whose involvement in his community has gone over and above that which would normally be expected, either due to the breadth of involvement in community programmes or due to the depth of support for one particular project or activity.

Following his selection as League One Community Player of the Season at the EFL Community Awards earlier in the month, Taylor Moore has now been named as the overall Player in the Community.

Moore was recognised for the work he’s done to support mental health in the local community. His passion for mental health is rooted in lived experience, after his mother attempted suicide last year.

This inspired Taylor to create his own ‘5k Your Way’ project, an exercise initiative which encourages open conversations about mental health. Over 40 participants attended the first walk and it has now become a regular event. His strength in character has helped many people. 

Upon receiving the accolade, Taylor said: “It’s a special feeling, obviously something very close and personal to me and it’s good to receive recognition for it, but obviously that is not why we do it, it is to change peoples lives.

“We’ve been lucky enough to arrange some events this season, we’ve got a few more to come, but it’s been really special to help improve people’s physical and mental health.”
