After a record number of entries this year, we are thrilled to announce that Bristol Rovers Community Trust has been named a finalist at the 2026 Football Business Awards.

Trust has been named a finalist at the 2026 Football Business Awards. The Trust has been shortlisted in the Best Football Community Scheme; Non-Premier League or Championship Clubs category, recognising the impact of our work supporting local communities across Bristol.

Launched in 2012, the Football Business Awards celebrate the very best in football business and attract more than 500 attendees to the annual ceremony. The awards recognise and reward the vital off-pitch contributions made by organisations, clubs and individuals who are helping shape the future of the game.

Our submission this year focused on the work of our Board of Trustees, who identified a pressing challenge within the city. While Bristol is widely recognised as an active and vibrant city, many residents continue to experience significantly poorer health outcomes than the national average, particularly in areas facing higher levels of deprivation. Local research highlighted the scale of these inequalities and helped inform our strategic priorities.

In response, the Board made a key decision in 2025 to expand and strengthen a targeted suite of health and wellbeing programmes across the community. These initiatives were designed to improve both physical and mental health outcomes, reduce stigma around seeking support, increase access to clinical pathways, and help reconnect individuals who may be experiencing isolation.

Through partnerships with healthcare providers, local organisations and community groups, Bristol Rovers Community Trust has been able to deliver meaningful interventions that support people of all ages to lead healthier and more connected lives.

We are incredibly proud to be recognised alongside so many outstanding organisations in this year’s shortlist and look forward to celebrating the very best in football business at the ceremony in May.

Bristol Rovers Community Trust, CEO Adam Tutton, added:
Being named a finalist at the Football Business Awards is a fantastic achievement for Bristol Rovers Community Trust and a reflection of the incredible work carried out by our staff and volunteers every single day. Their dedication, passion and commitment to supporting our communities is what makes programmes like this possible. I am extremely proud to see that work recognised on a national stage and we’re all looking forward to celebrating this achievement together as a team.”

Looking at the other nominees, it’s clear that this year’s competition represents an exceptional standard, with organisations across the industry demonstrating remarkable vision, innovation and a shared commitment to making a positive difference both on and off the pitch.

The Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 15 May 2026, where organisations from across the football industry will gather to celebrate excellence in the business of football.
