BTEC Students play on the hallowed turf at The Mem!

Last Friday, our students took part in the annual BTEC Tournament at The Memorial Stadium. At the end of each season Bristol Rovers allow the Community Trust to utilise the pitch for their students and other community projects, before the turf is dug up in preparation for the summer.

Our first and second year students were split into four teams where they each played each other once in a round robin format, before a semi-final and final respectfully.

Head of Sport & Recruitment, Nathan Hallett-Young, said "The BTEC Tournament at The Mem is always one of the highlights in our calendar. The students have worked hard throughout the academic year and it's great to give them this opportunity to play on such a fantastic surface. There aren't many colleges around that can offer these experiences."

Everyone at Bristol Rovers Community Trust would like to thank groundsman Ben Ford and his team, for giving us access to the pitch once again and giving our students a memory they will never forget.
