After days filled with energy, laughter and football, we’re proud to look back on what was a hugely successful Fun Days programme during the Easter school break.

Last week marked the end of the Easter holidays and, with it, the conclusion of our Easter Holiday Fun Day Camps. Across the break, our team delivered four engaging sessions at Lockleaze Sports Centre, providing a football camp experience that combined the sport with a variety of fun, family-friendly activities. Each day brought together young people from across the local community, creating an inclusive and exciting environment connected to Bristol Rovers FC.

During the Easter Fun Days, we were also delighted to be joined by first-team players Yusuf Akhamrich, Mees Rijks, Tommy Leigh, Luke Southwood and Richard Smallwood - who were engaging with and playing alongside our attendees.

We would also like to thank, and say how incredibly proud we are of, our staff, as well as the degree and BTEC students from our Bristol Rovers College programme, who played a key role in delivering these sessions. Their involvement not only helped ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants, but also gave them the opportunity to put their own coaching session plans into practice as part of their development.

Nathan Hallett-Young, BRCT Operations Manager added:
“It’s fantastic to see so many young people coming together to enjoy football in a positive and supportive environment. These sessions are about much more than just the game - they’re a chance to stay active, make new friends and build confidence. The energy across all four days was brilliant, and it really highlights the impact these camps can have within our community.”

This year’s Easter Fun Days were a resounding success, with over 240 young people attending across the four sessions.
