This week has been a unique experience for our Summer Fun Days participants and staff alike. With extreme heat conditions presenting a challenge, including the cancellation of one session, we were delighted to welcome some very special guests to our Kellogg’s Football Camp earlier in the week.

During Wednesday’s Summer Fun Days session this week, we were lucky enough to be joined by Bristol Rovers players Elis Harrison, Brad Young, Keenan Gough, Ellie Preece and Lilia Dempsy.

All five players got involved in the sessions, giving the children in attendance an experience they are sure to never forget. We also received some fantastic feedback from parents and guardians, who commented on how well the players interacted with and spoke to everyone at Lockleaze. Their attitude and engagement were a real credit to the club, and we would like to thank them all for giving up their time to visit the camp.

Player appearances are vital in helping athletes become powerful local role models. They can help drive social inclusion, inspire youth participation and strengthen the connection between professional football clubs and the communities around them.

We're excited to build on this fantastic start over the next three weeks and can't wait to welcome both familiar and new faces to more action-packed days of football, games, and fun.
